Symbolic modeling. Instructions for symbolic modeling. Images are the language of the mind

He described his vision of this wonderful tool of self-knowledge, extremely useful for solving various problems, or in a broader sense, for clarifying almost any situation from the inside.

I want to say that these articles were rather incomplete for some reason.

First: symbolic modeling was studied through a video seminar, and this always complicates perception. From September 14 to 17, I was just at the seminar on symbolic modeling with Oleg Matveev, which eventually bore fruit and this article naturally appears.

Second: Along with the first reason, it took time for awareness, understanding and practice of symbolic modeling, gathering all the information together and presenting it in the most informative form. Minimum water, maximum efficiency.

In the article I will consider directly the instructions for use, indicating the most important key points.

In my opinion, it is most effective to carry out the process of symbolic modeling alone, since in this case any influence of another person (including non-professional ones is excluded).

When you ask yourself questions, it is MANDATORY to keep a full protocol, write down ALL the questions, write down ALL the answers, and, if possible, draw sketches. It will be possible to stop at any time, and also at any time to continue.

So let's get started.

In any business, preparation is 90% important, in symbolic modeling - such preparation is the feeling and retention of space, as well as the feeling of your body.

To begin with, feel YOUR space, which in essence belongs to you at the moment, from above, below, in front, behind, on the left and on the right. It is most important to pay attention to the REAR space, as it often escapes the attention zone. When you fully feel the space around you from all sides, it is important to hold the space, that is, to maintain this feeling as long as possible, so that this process becomes habitual and natural.

For a start, you can stay in this state for at least 20 minutes, and not just BE, but observe the images that appear. You can also write them down, maybe in the future it will be good material to work with.

The sense of space creates around you your symbolic universe, directly connected with the real universe. It is important to have at the same time the sensation of BEING or BEING, without any reflex interference in this BEING, without any intellectual attempts to draw conclusions or understand through the mind. Just be!

The second important preparatory step is feeling your body. To do this, you can use the fingers of one hand or even the fingers of two hands - press and hold any two points on the body. Between these points, your body should be, and you try to feel what is between these two points. In this way, one has to “go through” the whole body.

Interesting sensations may arise, you will, as it were, begin to “come to life”. In fact, this and the previous exercise activates and leads to a normal feeling of oneself and the space around. When these states (spaces around and your body) become common for you, then I recommend starting directly with symbolic modeling.

I still assume that you do this process with yourself (although you can do it in pairs), so now I will not dwell on pair work, perhaps I will do it later.

What is your focus? What do you want to happen?

You can start with any of these questions, but if you have any problem, essentially negative something, then I recommend that you first deal with it (the question is where your attention is most suitable for this). And after the problem has been sorted out (with the help of the following questions), it will be easier for you to formulate a positive result and desire (with the help of the question, what do you want to happen), and in this case, the work will go in the right direction.

So, here is a complete summary of the questions and the algorithm of work.

1) Clean start:

Feel the space and yourself. Place yourself where you want and where it is convenient for you. Check whether everything satisfies?

Clear up the space (be and watch).

What is?

What is your focus?

What do you want to happen?

X and Y- for simplicity, these are some images, objects or what you feel, name.

2) Determine the location [X]

And where (exactly) is [X] located?

And [X] - inside or outside?

And does [X] have a shape or size?

3) Form a metaphor

And is there something else about ... [X]?

And what is this ... [X]?

And it [X] looks like what / is it like what?

And what would [X] want to happen? - this question is asked after the metaphor has been drawn properly and in some detail.

Important: use the pronoun AND, as well as until a complete and clear description (with size, shape and location) - do not go to the next paragraph. There must be a clear description!

4) Form a metaphorical landscape [X]+[ Y]

And between [X] and [Y] is there any connection?

And between [X] and [Y] is there any difference, or are they the same?

And what is between [X] and [Y]?

And when [X], what happens to [Y]?

5) Change over time

And what happens then (then)?

And what happens immediately before [X]?

The following questions are asked already when the metaphorical landscape is pretty well described!

6) Source

And where could [X] come from?

7) Conditions

And what does [X] need to make it happen?

And can [X] happen?

As we apparently on the questions, answering them, we paint a clear picture of the metaphorical landscape, the relationship of objects in the landscape, their location in time (before and after), properties (size and shape, other qualities).

As a result, when the whole landscape is COMPLETELY ready, you can apply the extended form of conditions (paragraph 7). That is, when we fully see the picture of the Metaphorical landscape (in fact, the inner world), we can already work with something specific, and determine if we will achieve what we want?

Here's a diagram:

A) What do you want to happen? (we formulate the solution or the desired result.)

B) And what is needed in order for the desired above to happen? We ask the question in a circle, until the options are exhausted.

C) Can you do it? If not, point A. If you can, continue.

D) And will you do? (what they came to as a result of the questions)

E) And then what happens? That is, in essence, we rise from the action to the goal indicated in point A - upward.

Useful files are attached to the article:

Self-processing algorithm, checklist for process quality control, metaphorical processing diagram in PDF format (handouts from the seminar)

Scheme of symbolic modeling (metaphorical processing), by Oleg Matveev. format - PDF, handouts for the seminar.

As for the very impressions of Oleg Matveev's seminar on symbolic modeling, as well as its results, I will tell you about this later. And also next in turn is an article explaining the mechanisms of work of symbolic modeling.

An important clarification on the questions themselves. They are built on the basis of the so-called pure language. It should be understood that pure language is constructed in such a way as to prevent the unconscious introduction and influence of your metaphors, assumptions or opinions during the process (regardless of the intention with which you want to do it). Clean questions encourage metaphors, ideas, self-reflection, and insights. When the goal is to change oneself, Pure Language promotes organic change — gradual and smooth.

It is worth mentioning that "cleanliness" does not imply "no impact at all." Any communication affects, and Pure language would be of little use if it had no effect. Through its ability to respectfully direct attention to specific aspects of your inner world, Pure Language influences the direction of the mind-body-spirit process (without clogging the content of the experience).

A variety of other processes probably do this too, but none does it as cleanly and calmly as Pure Language, and no other technique is capable of working with metaphors so naturally. This, in fact, is the know-how of a pure language, so to speak.

While Pure Language was originally developed for therapeutic work with client metaphors and symbols, it is now used in communication in hundreds of other fields - by researchers, educators, managers, counselors, physicians, healers, and a host of others.

If you do not understand anything about this article, ask questions, I will definitely answer. Best regards, Dimitri Gewal.

Symbolic Modeling is the name of a technique that was modeled by James Lawley and Penny Tompkins based on the work of New Zealand psychotherapist David Grove.

The process of working in Symbolic Modeling (or abbreviated S&M) is simple (for the client at least-)). The work in the session proceeds like a regular conversation. Its main difference is that the processor (master) uses special questions that help solve the client's problem. This way of communicating and asking questions is called "Clean Language", which fosters awareness in the client. In addition to questions, the session also uses metaphors. Their therapeutic effect was discovered by David Grove. In fact, a person uses them every day, without even noticing it, when describing his feelings, experiences, his inner world. Here are some examples of metaphors: everything falls out of hand; as if banging my head against the wall; like a stone fell from the soul. These are "normal" phrases in everyday life, but in sessions we use them as a key to experience.

Symbolic modeling (S&M) is ideal for personal development, clarifying one's goals, forming desired character traits, improving relationships with others and oneself, working with limiting beliefs, trauma and negative states, getting rid of unwanted states, changing patterns of behavior, developing internal resources , clarification of intrapersonal issues related to any situations, improvement of relationships, removal of charge, formation of desired habits and states, and much more.

With the help of SI, we ourselves (almost without the influence of the leader) model what we have NOW (problem, situation, behavior, state, sensation), then, we model the solution and the desired result.

SpoilerTarget "> more details

Modeling is a description of a thing or a process with the aim of helping a person obtain new information, make a decision, or gain experience. S&M uses modeling of our perception, state, behavior, etc. with our personal inner metaphors and symbols. We study the model of our own experiences and get the opportunity to be aware of and change it. During this process, we have new knowledge and discoveries, intuitive insights, resources and opportunities that were not there before the process. The basic simple idea is that any situation that we interpret as a "problem" contains energy for our growth, and the discomfort that we experience from this problem is necessary in order for us to deal with this unexplored area in ourselves. The good news is that in any problem there is energy (resource) for development. That is, realizing (modeling) the "problem" in the S&L session, this resource is released and turns the "problem" into a clear, personally our solution to this problem and the growth of us as a conscious person. For example, if you simply remove the unconscious excitement during public speaking, a person will become an ordinary calm speaker, but this only conscious excitement can turn into powerful energy in order to ignite the audience with his speech.

The difference between S&M and other methods is that usually another person (a consultant, trainer or author of a book) tells us about how the world really works, we or our problem, advises, makes diagnoses, says what we need to do or that there is something wrong with us. Although the other person cannot know how our perception of reality is arranged, what is in our inner Universe, he does it based on his own model of reality, which is true for him, and not for us. Sometimes, after such consultations, something becomes clear, but it doesn't get any easier. This is because using a technique developed by another person, we use his model of reality, and each of us lives in our own universe, and therefore the theory of one person helping his inventor does not always help or even harm another.

In SIM, a unique special Pure language is used. This is a set of special simple questions, developed by psychotherapist D. Grove in the 1980s, which have a minimal effect on the creation of a person's own model of reality. That is, they do not give us advice, do not make diagnoses, do not interpret information, but simply help us describe our own model of reality, and we ourselves find all the answers and energy for change. The changes that occur at the same time are our direct powerful experience of experiencing our personal truth, this is the acceleration of our growth, this is the creation of our own unique and most effective technique for working on ourselves.

Symbolic modeling is a technique that uses Pure Language to help a person learn to model themselves through the awareness of the organization of their metaphors and symbols. Using their own precise metaphors as the raw material for the modeling process, the client builds a living, dynamic, four-dimensional world inside and outside himself - a metaphorical landscape. During the Symbolic modeling, his metaphors begin to develop. As this happens, his everyday thinking, feelings and behavior begin to change.

When a person has a chance to discover himself in a "pure environment", he begins to value his personal experience in a completely different way - probably for the first time standing face to face with the "I" that he himself created - without any admixtures from others present. ... This is a very unique and sublime experience.

Over the years, it has been found that Symbolic Modeling is particularly suited to working through "hard questions" and "higher levels" of experience, as well as complex and seemingly elusive relationships that defy traditional techniques. Although Symbolic Modeling is a separate process, it can be easily integrated with other therapeutic models, and there are already many developments in this area.

14:50. Session of symbolic modeling to oneself:

What is?

The pressure of "I have to" duty.

And when there is Pressure of “I have to” duty, what else is there?

Depression. the desire to resist and do nothing.

And when there is The pressure of "I must" duty isDepression and desire to resist and do nothing, what else is there?

Feeling hopeless.

And, when there is ... what is it like?

It looks like a beetle turned upside down, it touches its legs, but cannot do anything.

And whenit looks like a beetle turned upside down, it touches its legs, but cannot do anything, what else is there about it?

- The image of this beetle is drawn in a line diagonally upward. There, at the top, the image of a beetle turns into a beetle with its legs down.

And when there is the pressure of "I have to" duty thatthe image of a beetle stretches upwards along the dianonal line, what else is there?

Something colorful, spherical, playing.

And when there is the pressure of "I have to" duty thatlooks like a beetle turned upside down, it touches its legs, but cannot do anything, and whenthe image of the beetle stretches in a line along the dianonal upward, and when there isSomething colorful, spherical, playing - What else do you have?

There is peace and acceptance.

20:44. I want to give myself another symbolic modeling session.

What is?

Feeling of depression, resistance to some kind of pressure, some kind of flow.

And, when the Feeling of depression, resistance to some kind of pressure, some kind of flow, what else is there?

Some kind of limited or local meditation. As if I can be myself now, but only for a very short time.

And when Feeling overwhelmed, resistance to some kind of pressure, some kind of flow andSome kind of limited or local meditation. As if I can be myself now, but only for a very short time, What else do you have?

Some kind of relaxation, tranquility.

And when ... what is it like?

It's like a mature cat Dozing on its back, but ready to react to any incoming signal.

Getting to know Symbolic Modeling

Started watching video seminar

Hmm, interestingly the day ends. I feel satisfaction that I started watching a video of Oleg Matveev's seminar on symbolic modeling (pure language) - a method that allows you to rather gently help a client, based on the images that his mind creates.

I have wanted to get acquainted with this topic for a long time, but somehow it was not enough time. But now my hands have reached.

Clean and dirty methods, the difference

I continue to watch Oleg Matveev's seminar on symbolic modeling and pure language. At the end of the first day, after the first demo session, he describes a scale of methods - from dirty to clean.

This is new to me, I used to think in dirty ways, in which the therapist simply tells the client what to do. Maybe this gives the client a reluctance to enter the process? Even my mother does not want me to ask her sedona questions, even though it relieved her headache and insomnia.

Now the video will come down to the pure method. Very interesting!

Information process

yesterday I saw this phrase on the page of Dmitry Shamenkov and then during the day my thoughts returned to her. I thought that the fellows, of course, are Reikists, that they direct energy to the organs. But it is even cooler to simply correct information processes, and the authorities will reflect.

Having listened to Matveev (symbolic modeling and pure language), I would even say that organs are some metaphors that reflect information processes in a person's consciousness. The state of organs (diseases, health) are also metaphors that reflect information processes in a person.

Of course, here I am relying on the understanding from the book. Yesterday I wrote to myself a plan to resume translating it, or at least read it, but I didn't get my hands on it. I would also like to ask a friend to join the project for translating this book. Let it be a great support on a daily basis.

I also thought about treatment. It turns out that the "message of love" to oneself healthy is the creation of information about one's own in relation to the state of one's health. (Using the metaphors "love message", health).

And taking a pill with the intention of influencing the state of an organ is the effect of one metaphor (pill) on another metaphor (organ state) with the assumption that this will improve the general condition.

Interesting thoughts, you need to think them out somehow ... Not otherwise, wisdom is already hatching from tomorrow)

There is no need to guide the client towards any goal

Kostya Kovalenko

yes, the method is cool. I got acquainted with the video from Oleg Matveev. But there I still had the feeling that it was necessary to lead the client to the correct result. There was a feeling that I was obliged to use some violence and manipulation (psychological filth).

Now I was introduced to the idea of applying CM to myself, and I appreciated its purity - that it is enough just to ask over and over again, to acknowledge your emotions over and over again. That there is no need to lead to something.

Oleg Fedorov

Kostya, the fact of the matter (and the beauty of the method is for me) is that the method does not imply that the presenter knows which result is "correct" ... And the questions are "clean", as open as possible, formulated so that the client walked his own way ... And they set themselves so that a way out of any "dead end" will be found.

And the metaphor of the method (again - for me) is not "digging out roots and eliminating symptoms", but "joint travel", "interested research" ...

But, despite the fact that I have been practicing the method for about two years (or even more), for some reason I have not yet composed my "speech in the elevator" :-)

The main idea of the first paragraph: "I don't know how you should live. You know yourself." :-) And then he wound up, hewed up negatives ...

Metaphors are a better tool for working with the mind

Images are the language of the mind

And our complex one operates ... on a more complex level. At the level where different "programs" interact at the same time. When they compete, we feel stupid.

And the tool of metaphor allows you to more adequately, more fully interact with this complex software-informational complex of the mind.

Such a metaphor has arisen: the sedona method is like sorting out a bunch of matches (a problem in the mind) one at a time, and Symbolic Modeling is like interacting with a heap at the information level, like a complex interaction with its key elements - with all at once or almost immediately.

Even in meditation, images (in other words, metaphors of something) come to my mind. Even in sedona, I use the image of emotion to dis-identify with it. And Dvoskin advises to imagine how the image of emotion will dissolve and disappear. Therefore, it is cool to learn how to effectively use tools that work with metaphors. In particular, symbolic modeling.

What does it give?

As I understand it, the construction of explicit models of their states, the manifestation of their complex states in the form of models (images, descriptions of images and their interrelationships) allows the mind itself to be aware and understand its state.

Of course, this message is not against Sedona - but thoughts and research in this area. I just faced the reality that people refuse to have me help them with sedona. From the seminar Matveeva understood that the fact is that their mind resists sedona, as a "dirty" method. I ask them my questions, not develop their images and metaphors.

In contrast, Pure Language Symbolic Modeling is a “pure” method in which the game is played, more with client material.

In images, the mind describes beliefs, goals, programs

(22 Nov 2012) I told my mother the twists and turns of the session to my evening client. He had images of close people in his chest, who had their own ideas on how to live - his parents wanted to control him tightly, like servants of the nobles, and his grandmother wanted him freedom from a simple peasant life, where there are no obligations or stress.

The client decided to throw them all into the volcano. I was a little scared, but then I decided that this was the client's business and went after him. He felt better and a black hole opened in his chest - a dip into space, as to something primordial.

Mom was also surprised that relatives were thrown into the volcano and she asked me. I liked the explanation I gave.

All these images are certain beliefs and programs in the mind, in the subconscious of the client. Resistance to parents, striving for grandmother's freedom-in-simplicity. And the client's mind gave information about the existence of these programs in this way - the client's mind described these programs, these beliefs, these habits, these views - described them in the form of capacious images.

The image of a grandmother, in this case, is something like "a secret preference for the freedom of simple life in the countryside over the complexity of the many rules of parents" and so on. Therefore, when a client decides to throw the image of a grandmother into a volcano, he simply decides to abandon this old belief, this once worked out rule that allowed him to put up internal resistance to his parents.

This, I say to my mom, is all the same as with your headache - it went away after you made the decision that "yes, I would let her go now." But for you to give such an answer, it was necessary for someone to ask you a question: would you let go of this feeling of headache? (Sedona Method)

Likewise, here - for the client to be able to make a decision to let go of unnecessary beliefs, programs, goals - it was necessary to see them, to realize them. And the symbolic modeling session allowed him to become aware of them, see them - and make a conscious decision to let them go. First, the client transformed his vague feelings, modeled them into clear images, and then made a conscious decision about them.

I liked this explanation so much that I immediately ran to share it with you.

The mind is a neural computer that transforms information

Metaphors, images are a higher degree of generalization of information ... The mind describes large amounts of information with metaphors. Using these metaphors, you can program the mind, give it tasks.

The mind gives out information to whom?

The mind, the brain is a neural network, a neural computer that converts information. At the entrance one thing - at the exit we get another.

Who does he give information to? - first of all, to oneself, to the mind, to a person. But to other observers too.

Sessions with clients

First with client # 1 - solemnity at the exit

I gladly agreed to work with him for free - I was just looking for those willing. We talked on Skype with a video. I looked at the list of standard metaphorical modeling questions and asked ... the ones that fit best as the situation progressed.

First asked what he would like to happen? To solve the financial problems ... and then there were many more clarifying words.

They began to dig. The client came up with a metaphor of a cylindrical wall around him - at first it was concrete, then it turned into an ancient stone ... And freedom was visible below under his feet in the form of a field with grass. I did not push him towards freedom, but simply asked further clarifying questions about his metaphors.

A metaphor has developed that some wall destroyer will destroy the wall from the outside. Gradually this happened and the client was released. I thought the session was over and asked the client if he would like to work with something else or if he was already satisfied and could finish. To my surprise, he said that he wanted to explore this freedom more.

Another metaphor has been created - freedom with 1000% immunity against walls. It manifested itself like wings, like a kind of exoskeleton (my word). And we ended up understanding the essence of the client - to be happy, to travel and along the way to destroy the walls that they themselves want to be destroyed. Destruction is easy and playful.

That was the end of it.

After the session, I had a state of solemnity, respect for the power of what was manifested.

Hmm, probably, at work with images, with metaphors, myths, fairy tales could be based ... Interesting.

Anyone else would like to work with me on this technique?

Client # 2 - Less Metaphors

(Nov 17 @ 21:24) Oh, I worked with another client for free. She is an experienced esotericist and has lived in the States. I asked a couple of times what she wanted to happen. She said about "being free" ... She associated it with a white house on the ocean shore ... In passing, she mentioned the holes in the shower.

I tried to explore the "house" as a metaphor, but it didn't work out - apparently, for her it's just a house.

Then, sorting through more possible metaphors, I touched on the "holes in the soul." We touched on childhood, which was difficult. We quickly entered the black hole in the belly. Another one was found in the throat. Then it all ended very quickly. From the belly everything went up by itself into the throat, and then everything black came out over the top of the head.

We did not reach the freedom with which we started, but some kind of liberation happened (and the client felt it), so I decided to ask her if she wants to work further or stop at this (since 40 minutes or more have passed already) )?

She thanked, chose to finish this time. And she said that she would still work with something herself, as an experienced esotericist. And she also praised me for writing in LJ. It was nice.

During the session, I remembered awareness, felt the situation, remembered love and the message of love. Nice method. It's nice to help a client explore the world of their mind. I had some strong feelings during the session. And for the client - after getting rid of those black holes.

Client # 3 many metaphors, 2 hours

(18 Nov 2012) Worked with a third client. Here, really, where metaphors poured, as if from a cornucopia! There were a lot of them, and I already began to get used to their manifestation. The client did not need to be led to the description of the metaphor, she herself quickly described them, talked with these images, interacted with them in her imagination.

There was a lot of material. After the first clarification (after about 40 minutes of work), I asked if I wanted to continue the session or end. I wanted to finish, but started talking about one more element ... worked for 2 hours, promoted a lot.

Client # 4 (after turbo gopher) - many metaphors

I felt that I had already got used to it. Already consciously included awareness. Great.

Session feedback

Greetings :) Just today I wanted to write an intermediate stage. I began to sleep a lot - as if some kind of perestroika was underway. I would even say that the changes were not only during the SIM process, but after it they go like a wave - as if they pushed a stone off a mountain. Gone are many different tensions, including which were a very long time ago.

he also added: "Yes, I slept about 16 hours on the first day)) First 8 and then another 8. This was observed before - but it is rarely true when something happens internally. negative moments of oversleeping after it. On the contrary, the feeling that everything is as it should be "

Second time with client # 1 - calmer

This time we touched on a simpler topic with him and everything went easier.

Third session with client # 1 - power in the throat

Today I let the client speak more freely than the first two times - I was in no hurry to ask questions and listened for a long time without interrupting. As a result, it turned out that the client, and without my help, perfectly built metaphors and carried out actions with them. I only recorded new images in my notes.

In the end, he paid attention not to the sensations in the body. When we sorted out the sensation in the throat, when, in his space, this barrier turned into an amplifier of his speech - I also felt some kind of power in my throat. Interesting.

Fourth session for client # 1

I no longer interfered with the client with my questions, as it might have happened at first, but simply watched how he interacted with his images and metaphors. Rarely did I have to ask questions that clarify the properties of images.

The child (invisible) was in front of him at the top. Between them - a funnel with a wide part towards the child. Now there was an outflow of energy from the client to the child, but it should have been the other way around. The child (the brilliant architect) lacked something that he had lost. What? a golden-silvery ball.

The client imagined giving the child a balloon. Everything seems to be good. No, the ball was again in the hands of the client. Fell through a hole in a funnel. The funnel had to be turned so that the ball would not fall through it. I turned it over.

No, there is still a feeling of slight tension in the shoulder. It turns out that this is the spring that was supposed to hold the funnel in the correct position. Corrected. Are we finished?

No, there is still a feeling in the chest that "should". As in the reins, as under the yoke of an alien. Feeling in the chest from him a connection with the yoke from the front to the left. What kind of yoke? External world. What does he want? Wants the client to play, to treat everything easily. And what happens when the client plays? Everything dissolves by itself.

The residual phenomenon was transformed into a ball, the ball flew into a funnel - the child could figure out and set the elements of the game.

4-day workshop on a unique technique for working out negative states, feelings and trauma. This technique is ideal for both individual development and coaching. Its difference from other techniques is that usually another person (consultant, coach or author of a book) tells us about how the world really works, we or our problem, advises, makes diagnoses, tells us what we need to do or that there is something wrong with us. Although the other person cannot know how our perception of the world around us is arranged, he does it based on a personal model of reality, which is true for him and not for us.

Symbolic Simulation (SEM) is ideal for:
personal development
clarify your goals
formation of the desired character traits, habits
improving relations with the outside world and finding harmony in your inner world
working with limiting beliefs, trauma and negative conditions
getting rid of unwanted conditions
changing patterns of behavior
development of domestic resources
clarification of intrapersonal issues related to any situations
formation of desired states and much more.

How it works?

With the help of SI, we ourselves (almost without the influence of the leader) model what we have NOW (problem, situation, behavior, state, sensation), then, we model the solution and the desired result.
This is because using a technique developed by another person, we use his model of reality, and each of us lives in our own universe, and therefore the theory of one person, helping his inventor, does not always help (or even harm) another.

Differences of S&M. Pure Language
In S&M, a special language is used that does not introduce anything foreign into the client's inner reality. Therefore, it received the name Pure Language. This is a set of special simple questions, developed by New Zealand psychotherapist D. Grove in the 1980s, which have a minimal effect on a person's personal model of reality. The therapist (or facilitator) speaking Pure Language does not give advice, diagnose, interpret information, but simply helps the client describe his own model of reality and find all the answers and energy for change. The inner events experienced in such sessions are our direct powerful experience of manifesting our personal truth, this is the acceleration of our growth, this is the creation of our own unique and most effective (just for us) technique of working on ourselves.
Symbolic modeling is a technique that uses Pure Language to help a person learn to model themselves through the awareness of the organization of their metaphors and symbols. Using his own precise metaphors as material for the modeling process, the client builds a living, dynamic, four-dimensional world inside and outside himself - a personal metaphorical landscape. During the Symbolic modeling, his metaphors begin to develop. As this happens, his everyday thinking, his states, feelings and behavior begin to change.

How it works?

With the help of SI, we ourselves (almost without the influence of the leader) model what we have NOW (problem, situation, behavior, state, sensation), then, we model the solution and the desired result.
